Seasons of Busyness, Seasons of Stillness
When school starts, there's a new energy in the air. Anyone else sense it? It's almost like an adrenaline rush with a hustle and bustle of work, school, rehearsals, trying to balance it with a social life, homework, and still squeezing in that "me" time. August seems like it happened yesterday, and then of course you blink, and I haven't moved from in front of my computer as I cram for my finals.
This was certainly a season of busyness for me. As a psychology major, I am required to do an internship to graduate. I think this is an amazing opportunity to grow my skills and learn more about the field I am now passionate about, but having an unpaid internship on top of a part-time job to pay for rent and ramen, as well as being a full-time student really got to me. This has been a whirlwind of a semester...
That being said, I haven't been able to do what I love as much--encourage, write, and share. Life comes and goes in seasons. (Unless you live in the midwest, if you do, your Monday hits all four seasons at once.) You have busy seasons, you have still seasons. There are seasons for waiting and there are seasons of moving. No matter what the season, you have to give yourself grace.
No human is perfect. God will only give us what He knows we are capable of, but sometimes He pushes our limits so we continue to rely on Him in different seasons of life. Oh yes, this was a busy season for me, and maybe many of you feel the same. Maybe you are still in that busy season and searching for the light at the end of the tunnel. It will come. There is always a spring that comes after the winter (unless you live in the midwest, then I don't know what to tell you!)
Simply, Sincerely,
Maddie
